Closing & Moving In

Closing is the easy part. By this stage, we’ve already done all the heavy lifting. All that’s left is your final walkthrough, which we’ll do together within 24 hours of closing just to make sure the home is in good shape and that everything the seller agreed to has been completed. It’s usually quick and straightforward—just a final check before we head to the finish line.
You’ll also want to make sure you’ve got utilities scheduled to transfer into your name starting the day of closing. We’ll provide you with a list of all the local providers you’ll need so nothing gets missed.
After our walkthrough, we’ll head to the closing attorney’s office together. The appointment itself typically takes about 30 minutes to complete. A couple of hours later—once the transaction is recorded—you’ll get the keys and the home will officially be yours.
If anything unexpected pops up in the final stretch, we’ll handle it. Whether it’s renegotiating a detail or rescheduling the closing, we’ve got your back. Just know this: we reserve the right to delay a closing by up to a week if needed, and we can also renegotiate terms with the seller on your behalf if circumstances change.
One more note: our go-to closing attorney has been ranked the #1 real estate attorney in the Triangle for multiple years—out of thousands of peers. You’re in the best possible hands.
Buying a home doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With a smart plan, the right team, and a clear path forward, it can actually be one of the most exciting and rewarding moves you’ll ever make.
