Closing Day

By the time closing day arrives, most of the heavy lifting is behind you. The buyer will complete a final walkthrough to confirm that the home remains in the expected condition and that any agreed-upon repairs have been completed.

Please keep all utilities active through the day after closing to ensure a smooth handoff. When you leave the home for the final time, simply leave all house keys, garage remotes, mailbox keys, access fobs, and anything else the new owner will need at the property. You’re also welcome to leave behind helpful items such as appliance manuals, warranty information, extra flooring, or labeled leftover paint. Leave everything neatly organized at the house, and we’ll take care of the rest.

As the seller, you’ll typically sign your closing documents in advance, so there is usually no need to attend the buyer’s closing appointment. We’ll coordinate the signing with the closing attorney and make sure your completed and notarized documents are delivered on time.

The buyers will not receive the keys or take possession of the home until the transaction has been recorded. Once recording is complete, the sale becomes official, the keys can be released, and the closing attorney can begin disbursing your proceeds.

If anything unexpected comes up during the final stretch, we’ll be right there to coordinate the details, solve the problem, and keep everything moving forward. You won’t be left trying to figure it out on your own.
